I recently had the unique opportunity to bowl at the White House with a few close friends of mine. We went prepared with pizza and treats to potentially the only bowling alley in the country with a dress code. The venue itself is comprised of two lanes and a pristine arrangement of 60′s-style furniture. Photos of past presidents lined the walls, each engaged in their most serious bowling pose. The atmosphere was light and we all had a good time testing our skills and cheering for each other. Afterwards, we went on a tour of the West Wing where we viewed historical locations such as the Oval Office, Roosevelt Room, Navy Mess, as well as the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. The entire experience was rare, and one for which I am grateful. I hope that I get the opportunity to explore the East Wing in the near future and get the opportunity to learn more about our country and the activities within the White House.
